NLWorks participates in consortia that see significant opportunities in foreign growth markets. With direct access to international governments, financial institutions, embassies, consulates, businesses, and knowledge partners, NLWorks opens growth pathways for Dutch companies.
NLWorks is an initiative of the Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economic Affairs & Climate Policy, and the business associations VNO-NCW & MKB-Nederland.
Originally established under the working title “De Werkplaats” (The Workshop), the new management team faced the challenge of translating its ambitions into a clear communication and positioning strategy. This search led them to IMPEC. In July 2018, this resulted in the assignment to help shape an Impact Communication Strategy and a new identity for “NLWorks.”
The Impact Communication Strategy helped NLWorks achieve positive impact through a continuous process of evaluation and communication.
Evaluate: “Start Within to Win Beyond”
- An interactive evaluation method designed to provide insights into how joint efforts can lead to a positive impact.
In four workshops with management and stakeholders, we reflected on the purpose, processes, partnerships, perspectives, and potential of NLWorks.
Communicate: “Welcome Aboard”
- A visual storyline (storyboard) in which the evaluation outcomes are translated into the positive impact that NLWorks aims to generate.
This includes: ambition, vision and mission, core message and core activities, programmes, target groups, identity and image, and network.
The intensive evaluation, combined with clear communication, ultimately resulted in a positive impact not only within the NLWorks team but also among its strategic partners.
